President
Beverly Tchang, MD
Dr. Tchang earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Tchang graduated with her BA from University of Chicago and was a NIH T32 trainee. She completed her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell , Endocrinology Diabetes & Metabolism Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and Obesity Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell .

Devika Umashanker, MD
Devika Umashanker, MD, MS, MBS, DABOM is the Medical Director of Obesity Medicine at Hartford Healthcare Medical Group. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Connecticut School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor at Frank Netter School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University. Dr. Umashanker specializes in the care of patients with obesity and bariatric medicine.

Alyson Weiner, MD
Dr. Weiner is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, and obesity medicine.

She received a BA in molecular biology and genetics from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude. She received her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. She moved to New York City to be closer to her family, where she completed her fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She then pursued an Obesity Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Weiner has an interest in Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, metabolic syndrome, obesity medicine, growth, puberty, bone health, and thyroid conditions. She has been involved in research studies related to obesity, diabetes mellitus, and bone health. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at national meetings.

Sarah Barenbaum, MD
Sarah Barenbaum, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Barenbaum specializes in the care of patients with obesity and weight-related medical complications.

Dr. Barenbaum sees patients at the Comprehensive Weight Control Center, and also with the GI Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery program, where she serves as the Obesity Medicine Director.

Dr. Barenbaum received her B.A. from Yale University, where she won two NCAA Division I national championships in squash and received the College Squash Assocation's scholar athlete award. She received her M.D. from Drexel University College of Medicine, where she won the Samuel M. Levit Award for Clinical Excellence & Bridging the Gaps Clinical Scholar. Dr. Barenbaum completed both her Residency & Obesity Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Tanzila Razzaki, MD
Dr. Razzaki is an endocrinologist specializing in providing treatment for obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other metabolic and endocrine disorders. She is triple board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism; Obesity Medicine; and Internal Medicine.
After completing her Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Razzaki expanded upon her specialty areas by completing a second fellowship in Obesity Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Razzaki is a leading expert in Obesity Medicine, Type II Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolic Syndrome. She has been a key contributor to research studies related to obesity and diabetes mellitus and has published her work in peer-reviewed journals.

Priya Jaisinghani, MD
​Dr. Priya Jaisinghani is an endocrinologist and certified obesity medicine specialist. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Jaisinghani received a distinction in service to the community through her work at the The Boggs Center at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she also completed her internal medicine residency and was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. She completed her endocrinology training at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell. She has a vested interest in minority health, medical education, and mentorship. Recently, she published a book chapter on Viral Infections and Obesity.
